About The Position

Merrifield Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to support patient care and exceptional customer service. The role welcomes clients and their pets, handles calls and questions, schedules appointments, manages check-in and checkout, processes payments, educates clients about preventive care and next steps, and maintains accurate client and patient records. The practice describes itself as a supportive, team-oriented workplace that cross-trains and educates staff to help them find growth paths. The schedule offers flexibility and includes rotating Saturday shifts and lunch breaks. The position is based in Fairfax, Virginia. Salary is negotiable and based on experience.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets warmly.
Answer phones and respond to client questions.
Schedule appointments and check clients in and out.
