Part-time Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Trinity Oaks Pet Wellness Center is a well-established, progressive, fast-paced, multi-doctor general animal practice in Trinity, Florida. The hospital provides a broad range of services, including preventive care, surgery, urgent care, dentistry, diagnostics, radiology, ultrasonography, acupuncture, and boarding. It describes its team as experienced, supportive, and family-oriented. The Veterinary Receptionist welcomes clients and patients, supports the efficient flow of hospital operations, and offers compassionate, discreet support to clients during difficult moments. The role is part-time and pays $15–$16 per hour. Training and continuing-development opportunities are available through virtual and hands-on interactive learning.
Requirements
- Be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
- Be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
- Be compassionate, calm, a team player, a multitasker, and a strong communicator.
- Be highly organized and possess computer skills.
- Be a self-starter with a desire to advance knowledge and skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of veterinary experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area.
- Greet and welcome clients and patients.
- Answer questions and triage client concerns.
- Answer calls and emails and direct them to the appropriate party for resolution.
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow.
- Check clients in and out and process payments.
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need.
