About The Position
Penny Paws is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice. This role is about much more than answering phones; the reception team keeps the hospital running smoothly while creating a positive, supportive experience for every patient and client. Our Veterinary Receptionists love Penny Paws because they work alongside passionate animal lovers, build meaningful relationships with pets and their families, gain hands-on exposure to veterinary medicine, and have opportunities for continued growth and development in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative culture built on teamwork and support.
Requirements
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital preferred
- Passion for animals and exceptional customer service
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with scheduling software is a plus but not required
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented mindset
- Customer service experience required
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities
- Greet and check in clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system
- Schedule appointments and coordinate daily hospital flow
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Support veterinarians and hospital staff with administrative tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout every interaction
- Help create positive client and patient experiences every day
