Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking a visionary Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead their thriving 6-doctor practice during an exciting period of growth and transformation. With a brand-new boarding facility recently completed and a facility renovation planned for 2027, this is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on a well-established hospital and help build what comes next. The ideal candidate is an upbeat, collaborative leader who combines operational excellence with exceptional communication and people leadership skills — someone energized by developing teams, embracing change, and creating an environment where people and the practice thrive. In partnership with the Medical Director and the regional leadership team, this role will drive operational success, support continued growth, and lead the hospital confidently into its next chapter.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required
  • Veterinary hospital management experience required
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day hospital operations
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable adapting to new technology and business systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and/or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) strongly preferred
  • Experience managing through or planning a facility renovation

Responsibilities

  • Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
  • Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
  • Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
  • Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
  • Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
