About The Position

Hanover Park Animal Care Center is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead hospital operations, support top-tier patient care and exceptional client service, improve profitability, and foster a positive, collaborative team culture. The manager is part of the hospital management team and works closely with the Managing Veterinarian to operate the hospital efficiently and profitably. The role oversees operational planning and coordination, revenue and cost management, and the development of a supportive, cohesive team environment. Regular on-site attendance is required for in-person interaction with clients and employees. Leadership experience in veterinary medicine is highly preferred.

Requirements

Three to five years of experience in a managerial role, including customer service experience.
Regular on-site attendance is required.
Leadership experience in veterinary medicine is highly preferred.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based industry in positions of increased responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the hospital’s profit and loss and be accountable for its performance.
Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast hospital needs.
Manage accounts receivable.
Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs.
Manage payroll for hospital staff.
Develop the hospital schedule and manage labor costs.
Champion change and identify, document, share, and promote best practices.
Lead the hospital team in improving client service, operations, administrative processes, and workflows.
Implement technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Establish and drive the hospital’s culture.
Track and maintain current licensures for all DVMs.
Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations.
