About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative, driven Veterinary Client Service Representative to provide clients with a compassionate, professional first interaction and help ensure their experience proceeds smoothly and effectively. The role calls for practical knowledge of hospital organization and services, veterinary terminology, medical records, and financial policies and transactions. Success requires multitasking, accurate data entry, and maintaining composure in stressful and emotional situations.

Requirements

Ability to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
Attention to detail and self-motivation.
Ability to work successfully as part of a team and autonomously.
Sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Some flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Critical thinking skills and ability to anticipate inter- and intra-departmental needs.
General computer competency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Employment is dependent on passing a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in clients.
Answer telephone calls and transfer them as needed.
Escort clients and their pets to exam rooms.
Manage medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence.
