Veterinarian - Co-Owner
About The Position
This is an opportunity for a full-time Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to become a co-owner of an established and growing veterinary practice. This partnership model offers real equity ownership, allowing the veterinarian to share in the practice's growth and value, with their name on the door and balance sheet. The co-owner will have autonomy in medical decision-making, with no mandated protocols or production quotas. They will lead in medical decisions and clinic culture, supported by a team of 2 credentialed technicians and 5 support staff. The role also includes a voice in equipment, hiring, and scheduling decisions.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited school.
- Licensed or license-eligible in South Carolina.
- Small animal general practice experience.
- Comfortable with routine surgery and dentistry.
- Genuine interest in ownership and building a practice.
- Judgment and communication skills to be trusted with autonomy.
- New graduates with a clear ownership ambition are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Practice veterinary medicine with full autonomy in medical decision-making, workups, and treatment plans.
- Lead in medical decision-making and clinic culture.
- Contribute to decisions regarding equipment, hiring, and scheduling.
- Build and maintain a caseload with opportunities for growth.
- Mentor and train support staff.
