About The Position

Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is seeking a residency-trained or board-certified veterinary cardiologist to join their hybrid ER/Specialty/Primary Care hospital in Middletown, CT. This role offers the chance to join a collaborative team experienced in growing veterinary specialty services, providing the necessary support for success. The facility is state-of-the-art, equipped with advanced technology such as multiple ultrasounds, wireless Fukuda Denshi telemetry, a 64-slice CT, 1.5 T MRI, C-Arm with neurovascular platform, Maquet Servo-U ventilator with NAVA, and volumetric capnography. The hospital also benefits from an on-site Antech reference laboratory with a clinical pathologist. Existing specialty departments include Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Avian/Exotics, Emergency & Critical Care, and Oncology. The veterinary team is supported by experienced primary and emergency veterinarians, dedicated technicians, assistants, and client liaisons. Pieper emphasizes a doctor-led, medicine-first approach and offers equity options to veterinarians. They are committed to an integrated veterinary system and education, partnering with Middlesex Community College for veterinary technology clinical training and offering rotating and specialty internships and residencies. Pieper Veterinary, founded in 1937 and veterinarian-owned, operates multiple hospitals in Connecticut and has partnerships in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Maine, focusing on collaborating with privately-owned hospitals to expand quality veterinarian-led medicine in the Northeast.

Requirements
