VENDING ATTENDANT (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Provides vending products and services at a single customer location. The role receives deliveries, stocks vending machines and coolers, collects merchandise and cash, records transactions, and remains accountable for cash and product. The attendant serves existing customers, prepares product order forms, shares information about new products and services, resolves service complaints, maintains and sanitizes machines and vending areas, and sets up promotional displays. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position at Canteen in Chester, Virginia. The schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with days varying. The fixed pay rate is $21.65 per hour. Previous merchandising and warehouse experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries of soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snacks, and sundries at the customer's place of business.
- Stock vending machines and coolers; collect stale, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
- Collect money from machines and refill bill and coin changers.
- Record transactions using the appropriate card or electronic device.
- Remain accountable for cash and product.
- Contact existing customers to determine whether service is adequate.
- Prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
- Inform regular customers about new products or services.
- Listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and sanitation; keep the storeroom and vending area clean.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or provide promotional materials to customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
