About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a safe, customer-focused valet driver in Detroit. The role involves parking vehicles safely, assisting customers, explaining valet rates, and helping provide a smooth transportation experience. The position requires obtaining a Parking Attendant License. The listed hourly range is $18 to $19, plus tips. Eligible employees may participate in company benefit plans.

Requirements

• Obtain a Parking Attendant License.
• Have a valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Provide valid documentation proving eligibility to work legally in the United States if hired.
• Communicate accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and adapt calmly to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
• Meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing and walking regularly, handling cash and equipment, and occasionally sitting, climbing or balancing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to support customers’ transportation needs.
• Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
