About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a safe, customer-focused Valet Driver to park vehicles and provide a seamless transportation experience. The role involves interacting with customers, explaining valet rates, inspecting vehicles, following safe driving practices, and reporting incidents or hazards. The job requires obtaining a Parking Attendant License. The listed shifts are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. The hourly rate is $13 to $18, plus eligibility to earn tips.

Requirements

• Obtain a Parking Attendant License.
• Hold a valid state driver’s license, have a current address, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States if hired.
• Provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and adapt calmly to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
• Meet the physical demands of the position, including regularly standing, walking, and handling cash and equipment, and occasionally sitting, climbing or balancing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to support customers’ transportation needs.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts in a clean uniform and remain in uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
