About The Position

Responsible for removing trash from kitchen areas and performing heavy cleaning functions, including cleaning high areas in kitchens and outdoor stewarding areas. Provides general assistance to other stewarding employees as time permits to help maintain food preparation areas to established standards. Maintains assigned kitchen areas and food service supplies in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.

Requirements

At least 6 months to 1 year of work-related experience.
Neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
Ability to repeatedly lift approximately 30–35 pounds.
Ability to repeatedly reach, stoop, stretch, crouch, and twist.
Nevada Health Card.

Responsibilities

Follow all applicable safety precautions.
Remove kitchen trash and dispose of it properly.
Maintain a neat appearance and wear the provided uniform.
Notify department management of needed repairs in kitchen areas.
Perform general cleaning functions requiring ladder access.
Maintain assigned kitchen areas in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.
Maintain food service supplies in accordance with county health department and hotel standards.
Transport garbage, trash, and recyclables from kitchen areas to disposal sites.
Power-wash the kitchen loading and receiving dock daily.
Power-wash equipment outdoors.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
Assist other stewarding employees with kitchen maintenance as time permits.
Obtain kitchen maintenance supplies from storage.
Assist with organizing kitchen maintenance supply storage areas.
Perform additional related duties as requested by department management.
