About The Position

TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine Physician for a permanent position with a multi-site outpatient urgent care group operating in North Carolina and Tennessee. The role is based in Hickory, North Carolina, and offers flexible scheduling, clinical support, and a focus on patient care in an outpatient urgent care environment. The practice treats patients from 6 months old through adulthood and focuses on episodic care, physicals, diagnostics, and minor procedures. On-site services include a CLIA-approved laboratory and digital X-ray. Additional provider support may be added as patient volume increases. The EMR is Experity.

The schedule offers a flexible 3–4-day work week, with block scheduling available. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, and weekends, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine specialty.
• Board certified or board eligible.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• ACLS required.
• DEA required.
• DOT Certification required or willingness to obtain it.
• Civil Surgeon designation required or willingness to obtain it.
• CAQH registration required.
• Must be eligible for credentialing with major payors.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute care visits.
• Perform school, sports, annual, and pre-employment physicals.
• Provide vaccinations.
• Interpret X-rays and laboratory results.
• Perform minor procedures under local anesthesia.
