National Wound Physician Group is hiring a physician to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60-mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers full-time or part-time scheduling. Full-time physicians work 4–5 days per week, with a stated schedule of Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Part-time physicians work a minimum of 3 days per week. There are no night, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. Physicians learn wound management from wound-certified physician trainers and fellowship directors and use current clinical technologies and wound care modalities. The role is W-2 employment; work visa sponsorship is not available. The posting states that W-2 physicians earn an average of $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, and lists a salary range of $200,000–$350,000 per year. Benefits include health and retirement benefits, medical malpractice coverage with tail, and mileage reimbursement.
