About The Position
The Unlicensed Clinician provides mental health support services to members served and their families at the program and assists in coordinating all mental health support services provided by the Team. This includes coordinating and collaborating with team members and outside agencies, including the Conservator’s Office, Public Guardian’s Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers. The role is with Telecare’s VISTA Adult Forensic ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) program, which serves adults over age 18 who have been identified as severely and persistently mentally ill and incarcerated within the past year. The program currently serves 30 forensic adults.
Requirements
- Be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and hold a valid, current ASW, AMFT, or APCC registration.
- Have a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences.
- Have one year of direct service experience with mentally ill individuals.
- Have a valid and current driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance listing the applicant as a driver.
- Be willing to use a personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments, groups, and similar activities.
- Be willing to use a company vehicle to drive clients to appointments, groups, and similar activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide mental health support services to members served and their families at the program.
- Assist in coordinating all mental health support services provided by the Team.
- Coordinate and collaborate with team members and outside agencies, including the Conservator’s Office, Public Guardian’s Office, Probation Department, County Behavioral Health Services, and housing and inpatient providers.
- Drive clients to appointments and groups using a personal vehicle and a company vehicle.
