About The Position

United Community is seeking a highly skilled Universal Banker II to deliver excellent experiences to customers and prospects. The role combines assistance with everyday banking transactions and support for customers’ financial wellness through needs-based conversations and appropriate solutions. The position is full-time and non-remote.

Requirements

• NMLS license required.
• At least 1 year of previous banking and cash-handling experience.
• At least 1 year of lending experience.
• Demonstrated analytical, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to uncover and provide solutions to meet customer needs.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check.

Nice To Haves

• Current Notary Public Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive proactive, needs-based sales conversations through customer interactions, including service-to-sales opportunities, teller interactions, and appointment setting.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of retail banking products and services.
• Identify opportunities to enhance existing customer relationships and cultivate new ones by understanding and addressing customers’ needs, perspectives, and priorities.
• Assist customers financially by delivering loan products and ensuring loan packages are correct and complete to minimize exceptions.
• Identify opportunities and make referrals to cross-sell banking products and services to other areas of the bank.
• Educate customers on options for managing transactions using technology and other available tools and resources.
• Apply product and service knowledge to effectively solve customer problems.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and other routine transactions accurately and confidentially.
• Ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal policies.
