About The Position

The Universal Associate I (Teller/New Accounts) provides timely, courteous, and exceptional customer service while processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently. The role assesses customers’ financial needs, recommends bank services and products, participates in sales and referral programs, and develops solutions that exceed customer expectations.

The position processes transactions and handles cash, vault, and ATM responsibilities. It also opens and maintains consumer and business deposit accounts and completes account maintenance. The associate maintains daily transactions and balances, researches outages, balances the drawer, follows banking procedures and regulations, and interacts constructively with coworkers. Hours average approximately 33–34 per week, with the position budgeted for 1,745 hours per year.

Requirements

• Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.
• Ability to quickly learn position-related software.
• Ability to effectively use general office equipment.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service and cash handling experience (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, courteous, and exceptional customer service.

• Open and maintain deposit accounts for consumers and businesses.
• Complete necessary maintenance on customer accounts.
