About The Position

Cascadia Global Security is hiring an Unarmed Security Officer in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a part-time, flexible, on-call position requiring a TWIC card, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DMV background check. Work ranges from zero to 20 hours per week maximum. The position requires use of a company vehicle and is described as suitable for someone seeking occasional extra work. Pay is $19 per hour, with daily pay available as soon as the next day.

The company describes opportunities for growth, training, and promotion locally and across the United States. Security Specialists work across unarmed, armed, surveillance, and mobile patrol sites.

The officer will help maintain a safe and professional environment at client facilities through access control, foot patrols, observation, reporting, and theft and vandalism deterrence. Officers must maintain uniform and grooming standards and keep daily administrative documentation concise and complete.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Basic computer skills and report-writing experience.
• Available to work shifts during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to handle stressful situations and emergencies.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required and ability to pass a DMV background check.
• Active security license required.
• Active TWIC card required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• One year of security experience preferred.
• Military or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform access control.
• Investigate and report maintenance and safety conditions that could endanger the client, associates, or public safety.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot to maintain visibility and observe unusual activities at client facilities.
• Deter theft and vandalism.
• Help ensure a safe and professional work environment for the client, associates, and facility personnel.
• Keep daily administrative documentation concise and complete.
• Maintain uniform attire and grooming standards while in uniform.
• Perform other related duties as required.
