About The Position

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Patrol Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for its clients. Officers deter incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. The role involves patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms and emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. Professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are required. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday on the second shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with weekend availability required. Pay is $16.45–$17.50 per hour. Employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer background investigation and drug screen. Because the position supports safety-sensitive licensed private security operations, a criminal background check may be required by law. Responsibilities and requirements are not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned based on client or company needs.

Requirements

Have or be able to obtain a valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by the state licensing authority.
Have a valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company-approved driver standards.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be available to work weekends.
Be able to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Have strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
Be able to remain calm and effective in critical situations.
Have basic computer skills and the ability to use tablets for reporting.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be able to obtain all required security certifications and licenses.
Meet physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: stand or sit for at least one hour without a break, walk at least half a mile without stopping, and climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
At least one year of verifiable military, law enforcement, or security experience.
At least two years of verifiable customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns.
Monitor access points and verify IDs and credentials.
Monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity.
Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents according to protocol.
Maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents.
Perform routine security tasks, such as locking and unlocking doors.
Assist visitors and employees professionally.
Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols.
Ensure compliance with Security Engineers and client policies, including policies on smoking, loitering, and parking.
