About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer Patrol for a government location in Houston, Texas. The officer will help safeguard clients and the public by patrolling assigned areas, supporting access control, maintaining a visible presence, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. The position pays $16.97 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.
A guard card or license.
CPR certification.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and tenants while following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, public areas, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report unauthorized entry attempts or irregular conditions.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and communication procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate professionally with site personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public.
