About The Position

Alcott Center for Mental Health Services, a Culver City based mental health organization, is seeking an organized, motivated and professional candidate for a full-time position providing field-based services in its Unarmed Model of Crisis Response program through the City of Los Angeles. This position is part of a program that receives and responds to crisis response calls through a centralized dispatch that includes social services components — such as mental health, substance abuse, suicide threat, behavioral distress, conflict resolution, and welfare check.

Requirements

Case management experience required
COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster required.
Proof of valid California Driver’s License required, Clean Driving Record required, and must be insurable on Alcott policy.
Live Scan is required.

Nice To Haves

B.A. or B.S. degree preferred
Experience working with unhoused population and with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges preferred
Bilingual: Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

Respond to non-violent calls in the field that come in from centralized dispatch including calls related to behavioral health, mental health, substance use and well being checks
Provide field-based crisis intervention, including de-escalation, resource linkage, risk assessment and community integration
Work comfortably and independently in field settings
Follow instructions, follow-up and complete assigned tasks
Demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Collaborate effectively in a team setting and with community partners
Perform basic computer skills required for record keeping
Other duties may be designated as needed
