About The Position

Central Trust Company provides fee-only wealth management solutions, including investment management, fiduciary services, and financial, estate, and tax planning. The Trust Officer serves as the fiduciary officer for assigned trust relationships, interprets governing documents, and administers trusts accordingly. The role exercises discretionary authority within established policy, advises beneficiaries, and works with Wealth Advisors and Investment Officers as part of the client team. The position requires strong client-service and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks amid strict deadlines, interruptions, and changing priorities. The Trust Officer also directs Trust Associates' work in support of client relationships.

Requirements

• CTFA or Juris Doctor (JD) required.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Professional office appearance and demeanor; confidentiality is essential.
• Attention to detail, aptitude with numbers, and proficient organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret governing documents, operating instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively with clients and employees.
• Ability to draft grammatically correct correspondence.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Ability to use initiative, work independently, perform multiple tasks, and meet deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Act as fiduciary officer for assigned trust relationships.
• Interpret governing documents and administer trusts accordingly.
• Exercise discretionary authority within established policy.
• Advise beneficiaries and partner with Wealth Advisors and Investment Officers.
• Use the AddVantage trust accounting system and Fidelity custodial system.
• Direct the work of Trust Associates in support of client relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
