About The Position

Zions Bank is hiring a Traveling Teller to support branches across the Utah County area. Retail Support is a department of traveling tellers and bankers who help Zions Bank branches cover for employee absences. The role offers opportunities to build skills in banking fundamentals and develop professional relationships across the organization. The department’s mission is to support branches as they fulfill strategic objectives and carry out the bank’s vision. The position primarily supports Utah County branches, but may occasionally cover shifts as far north as South Salt Lake. Mileage reimbursement is provided when travel exceeds 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home. Minimum pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address clients’ needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to other branch or bank resources.
Identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities by exploring clients’ needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
