About The Position

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department consists of traveling tellers and bankers who support branches across their geographical area when staff are absent. This role primarily supports branches in Utah County and may occasionally be assigned to cover shifts as far north as South Salt Lake. Mileage reimbursement is provided when travel exceeds 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home. The position offers an opportunity to build skills in banking fundamentals and to network across the organization. The department supports branches in achieving strategic objectives and carrying out Zions Bank’s company vision. Minimum pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
• Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
• Identify and address clients’ needs by providing services such as opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, conducting money transfers, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
• Resolve client problems through direct personal action or referral to alternative branch or bank resources.
• Identify and maximize cross-sell opportunities by exploring clients’ needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
