About The Position

The Traveling Executive Director of Operations temporarily manages an assigned assisted living community while permanent leadership is identified and put in place. Assignments average 60 to 120 days and vary according to community needs. The role manages the community’s budget and occupancy goals, maintains appropriate staffing levels, and drives overall customer service. Assignments may be at any Benchmark Senior Living community, with the position involving 100% travel and a primary focus on Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and the company’s one community in Virginia.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Five or more years of operations management in senior care preferred.
Experience in a managerial role responsible for multiple disciplines.
Budgeting and staffing experience.
Proficiency with Windows applications such as Excel and Outlook.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Strong emotional intelligence.
Management or healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

A degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management, or Business is preferred.
Five or more years of operations management in senior care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Review bills and statements.
Analyze revenue projections.
Make adjustments when revenue sources decrease.
Manage the Sales Director.
Network with outside referral sources, such as hospital and rehabilitation personnel.
Qualify prospects financially using credit reports, bank statements, and other records.
Review occupancy as it relates to staffing.
Assist in hiring and recruitment processes.
Handle resident and family grievances.
Manage an assigned community’s budget and occupancy goals, maintain appropriate staffing levels, and drive customer service while permanent leadership is identified.
