About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown unit located in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves providing direct patient care in a hospital setting, addressing a variety of complex conditions. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,314–$2,459 with 48 guaranteed hours and a night shift on a 2x4 schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a medical step-down, telemetry, or related inpatient unit.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in a 16–20 bed medical step-down unit with patient-to-nurse ratios up to 1:4.
• Ability to work Night shift on a 2x4 schedule for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA.
• Capable of meeting the demands of a hospital setting and adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the medical step-down unit, addressing conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy.
• Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Monitor patients on telemetry, maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 1:4, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and prepare for transitions of care.
• Perform and document accurate assessments, vital signs, wound care, IV therapy, daily care plans, and timely handoffs during shifts.
• Respond to changes in patient condition, implement ACLS/BLS protocols as indicated, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.
