About The Position

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of California
2+ years of recent emergency department or comparable acute care experience preferred
Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced ED environment
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and adhere to start date
Graduate of an approved nursing program with eligibility for California licensure
Licensure suitable for practice in the emergency department setting

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the ED, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and ED protocols
Chart accurately in the electronic health record and communicate patient status to the care team
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, techs, and ancillary staff to prioritize and coordinate care
Respond to high-acuity emergencies with prompt, evidence-based nursing interventions
Prepare patients for stabilization, admission, discharge, or transfer as appropriate
