About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) at an acute-care hospital in Reedley, California. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week, and features 12-hour day shifts. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patients, triaging and managing patient flow, responding to emergencies, supervising staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, communicating with the healthcare team, participating in discharge planning, and maintaining accurate documentation. Requirements

Active California RN license.
Availability for day shifts; 12-hour shifts as scheduled.
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (when applicable).
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to supervise and mentor staff as needed.
Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment and to travel if required.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses; document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Triage and manage patient flow in the emergency department, respond to emergencies with critical thinking and professional judgment.
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
Communicate effectively with physicians, case managers, and other team members; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
