About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) in Bakersfield, CA. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/14/2026, with a weekly pay range of $2,048-$2,110. The shift is nights, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. The setting is an emergency care environment, with a focus on a high-acuity area.

Requirements

Current California RN license or licensure eligible for travel.
ER nursing experience preferred.
BLS certification required; ACLS may be required by the employer.
Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced emergency care environment.
Demonstrated critical thinking, clinical judgment, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
Ability to meet credentialing and onboarding requirements for a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients, administering medications and monitoring responses.
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to patient flow and safety.
Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes; communicate changes to the care team and families as appropriate.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure timely, evidence-based care and smooth transitions.
