About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) at a Critical Access Hospital in Fairfield, Iowa. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/07/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3x12-hour night shift schedule. The weekly pay range is $2,299–$2,421.

Requirements

Active Iowa RN license (Graduate of an accredited school of nursing)
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required (ACLS certification through the American Heart Association)
Ability to work the listed shift in a hospital ER setting
Immunizations and health requirements as part of onboarding per policy

Responsibilities

Provide total patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs in the ER.
Deliver bedside care, monitor patient status, administer medications, and respond to emergent situations.
Direct and guide patient teaching for patients and families; coordinate activities of ancillary personnel.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, quality care.
Maintain professional nursing standards, documentation, and compliance with policies and procedures.
Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives in the emergency setting.
