About The Position

ER Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. This is a 13-week assignment with a start date of 08/24/2026. The role involves working in a busy trauma Level 3 department in a rural northeast Oregon setting. The nurse will work alongside one or two other nurses and a full-time ER physician. This is a temporary assignment in a hospital-type environment.

Requirements

3+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a busy trauma Level 3 ER department
Flexibility to work day/evening shifts
Current RN license to practice in Oregon or eligibility per state regulations
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Assess, prescribe, delegate, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process
Deliver safe, high-quality care and ensure adherence to established standards, policies, and procedures
Develop and implement the Nursing Care Plan; advocate for patients and coordinate care with the healthcare team
Provide supervision and direction for any personnel assigned to the unit
Communicate effectively with the Unit Nurse Manager or House Supervisor and collaborate with the ER physician
