About The Position

This is a 13-week travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at a Critical Access Hospital in Reedley, California. The position involves 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12 night shift. The role focuses on delivering coordinated, evidence-based nursing care to ER patients, performing comprehensive assessments, administering medications and treatments, collaborating with healthcare teams, and documenting care in the electronic health record.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or state of practice
Minimum two years of recent ER or acute care nursing experience
BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor per policy; Basic Life Support (BLS) required
ACLS and PALS certification (AHA-ARC) required
EPIC EMR experience required

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated, evidence-based nursing care for ER patients, following established standards and the nursing process.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, analyze data, and develop a plan of care to achieve optimal outcomes.
Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition with critical thinking.
Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other disciplines; coordinate care and ensure a safe, healing environment.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record; participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education.
