About The Position

This is a temporary assignment for a Travel Registered Nurse - Nurse Educator in Hermiston, Oregon. The contract is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/06/2026, with guaranteed 36 hours per week on the day shift in a hospital setting. The role focuses on providing education and instruction for clinical staff, developing and delivering training programs, and serving as a resource for educational opportunities.

Requirements

Current Oregon RN license
Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS certification required
Minimum of 5 years hospital nursing experience, with at least 3 years in the OR
Computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to develop educational objectives
Typing speed at least 45 WPM
Ability to work in a hospital setting, maintain confidentiality, and support quality improvement initiatives

Nice To Haves

Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred
Familiarity with electronic health record systems is helpful
Prior teaching or curriculum development experience and experience with simulation are preferred

Responsibilities

Provide education and instruction for clinical staff, focusing on healthcare education and training programs
Develop, deliver, and evaluate education using simulation training with mannequins and simulation software
Serve as a resource to staff and collaborate with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators to identify educational opportunities
Partner with Quality Management to promote continuous improvement and support required education for applicable programs
Write measurable learning objectives and assess participant learning; adjust programs as needed
Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate empathy, teamwork, and professional communication in daily activities
