About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical units in Atlanta, GA. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026, with a shift of 2x3 Nights. The role involves providing direct patient care in a hospital setting.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia; Nursys license verification required.
Minimum 2 years Med Surg RN experience.
EPIC electronic health record experience required.
Ability to work the 2x3 night shift in a hospital setting.
Work history/profile with no gaps greater than 60 days; provide references and certification card as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on Med Surg units, including patients with urology, gynecology, orthopedics, medicine, surgery, trauma, ENT vascular needs.
Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, monitor vitals, IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative care as appropriate.
Document care and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC); ensure timely charting and adherence to clinical protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, case management, and ancillary staff to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning; provide patient and family education.
Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality of care standards; respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed.
