About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit of a Critical Access Hospital in Willits, CA. The assignment begins on 09/14/2026 and lasts for 13 weeks. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care, supervising staff, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a high-quality care environment. The position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week with a night shift schedule of three 12-hour blocks.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license active in California
CPR/BLS required
ACLS and PALS required
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a healthcare field
Acute care experience preferred
EPIC experience required
Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting
Strong collaboration, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Cerner experience not required but noted if applicable

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care for assigned Med Surg patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
Collect relevant data, assess health status, and identify care needs; develop and implement a care plan with appropriate interventions.
Administer medications, manage IV therapies, monitor patient responses, and provide wound care as ordered.
Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team; promote safe environments, infection control, and patient safety.
Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes; participate in discharge planning and transitions of care; educate patients and families.
Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff while ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record (Epic) and maintaining high standards of professional practice.
