About The Position

This is a travel Registered Nurse position for a Medical-Surgical (Telemetry) assignment in Atlanta, GA. The contract is for 14 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026. The role involves working 36 guaranteed hours per week on a day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week. The setting is a hospital medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, handling general medical patients and pre/post-surgical admissions in a rapid-turnover environment. The unit has 10 beds and emphasizes clear communication and independent work within a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Active RN license to practice in Georgia; Nursys license verification preferred
BLS and ACLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and telemetry-related nursing experience
Ability to work day shift in a fast-paced hospital setting; strong communication and independent judgment

Responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit, including assessments, care planning, and interventions.
Administer medications, monitor patient status, and respond to changes in condition with appropriate actions.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families; document care plans and progress in the electronic medical record; participate in handoffs during shift changes.
Manage rapid admissions and discharges within a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.
Support post-operative and general medical patients, including wound care, IV therapy, and coordinated discharge planning.
