About The Position
This is a travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg assignment in Geneva, NY. The contract is for 18 weeks, starting on 10/05/2026 and expected to end in February/March 2027. The role is in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a medical-surgical patient population. The pay range is $1,988 to $2,098 per week, with 0.0 guaranteed hours. The shift is 3x12 rotating (day/night).
Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI accepted)
- NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical RN experience
- Ability to care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg setting
- Availability to work a 3x12 rotating schedule with on-call shifts required (2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks)
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric medical-surgical patients
- Assess patient needs, develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and adjust based on response
- Administer medications and monitor for efficacy and adverse effects; document assessments and interventions accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families to support self-care after discharge and facilitate understanding of treatment plans
- Maintain a healing environment with emphasis on safety, infection prevention, and quality of care
