Requirements

Active RN license (state of Georgia or eligibility to practice in the state)
American Heart Association BLS certification
Recent experience in Med Surg
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill holiday coverage requirements
Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adhere to assignment policies

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care for Med Surg patients, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and care planning.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapies, per physician orders.
Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and respond promptly; document findings in the medical record.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and assist with discharge planning.
Ensure patient safety and comfort, adhere to infection control practices, and perform routine nursing duties such as wound care and IV management.
Educate patients and families on care plans, expected outcomes, and post-discharge instructions; maintain clear, compliant documentation.
