Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in California
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nursing degree from an approved program (ADN or BSN)
Med/Surg or general acute care experience preferred
Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced unit
Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills

Responsibilities

Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; monitor and respond to changes in patient status.
Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; delegate tasks appropriately.
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines to ensure safe, effective treatment plans.
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality-of-care standards.
Contribute to unit operations in a general acute care setting with a medical/surgical mix, following organizational policies and procedures.
