About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in Med/Surg at a critical access hospital in Salida, Colorado. The role involves providing direct acute care and swing bed patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and well-being. The assignment is for 8 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week on a 3x12 night shift.

Requirements

Active, current Colorado RN license
BLS certification current
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
Minimum 1 year Med/Surg nursing experience
Ability to work in an acute care/hospital setting and to fulfill a 3x12 night shift with weekend coverage

Nice To Haves

ACLS and PALS preferred
BSN preferred

Responsibilities

Directly provide acute care and swing bed patient care as a team member, upholding evidence-based standards.
Evaluate health status through collection and interpretation of health data.
Deliver health teaching and counseling to patients and families.
Provide therapies and treatments that support life and well-being, directly or through delegation, supervision, or consultation.
Execute delegated medical functions and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document accurately and timely in the medical record for all assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination.
Collaborate with ancillary departments and physician providers to address medical, social, and spiritual needs in a culturally and age-appropriate manner.
