About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical unit located in Aberdeen, Washington. The contract is for a 13-week period, starting on 09/14/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients, monitoring their status, administering medications, collaborating with the healthcare team, and maintaining accurate electronic health records. The nurse may also be required to float to other departments as needed. Housing assistance is available for this assignment.

Requirements

Active registered nursing license in Washington State or valid multi-state licensure
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Approved 6-hour suicide training
Demographics verification from Nursys
Willingness to float to other departments during rotation
RTO must be approved and added to the end of the contract

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Meditech is helpful but not required

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients following established nursing standards and clinical pathways
Monitor patient status, including vital signs, intake/output, and changes in acuity; implement and adjust care plans accordingly
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions and document responses
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, communicate changes, and support safe transitions of care
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
Float to other departments as needed during rotation and respond to unit staffing needs
