About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) in Atlanta, GA. The assignment is for 14 weeks, with a start date of 10/05/2026. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts on a 2x3 schedule, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The setting is a hospital-based Med/Surg unit that cares for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures. The pay rate is estimated between $1,596–$1,682 per week.

Requirements

Active RN license in Georgia (Nursys verification preferred)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg RN experience
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced admission unit
RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on a 10-bed admission Med/Surg unit for general medical and waiting-for-surgery patients
Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications, manage IVs, and assist with procedures within scope
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the health care team; work independently to support rapid patient turnover
Admit and discharge patients as part of a fast-paced unit; maintain a 5:1 patient-to-RN ratio
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses; ensure accurate handoffs and charting
Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; respond to emergencies per policy (BLS/ACLS)
