Requirements

Active RN license (Georgia) with Nursys license verification may be required
BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum 2 years medical-surgical nursing experience
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 2x3 schedule
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced admission unit with rapid patient turnover
Eligibility for a travel assignment and ability to relocate for the duration of the contract

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to adult medical-surgical patients on a high-activity admission unit
Monitor patient condition, perform ongoing assessments, and respond to changes in status
Administer medications, manage IVs, and implement plan of care under physician orders
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, case managers, and support staff to coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure patient safety and infection control standards
Communicate clearly with patients and families, and support rapid patient turnover on a 5:1 patient-ratio unit
