About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Registered Nurse in Atlanta, GA, focusing on a hospital medical-surgical unit. The contract is for 16 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves providing direct patient care, developing care plans, documenting in the EPIC electronic medical record, monitoring patient status, floating to different med-surg areas, and educating patients and families. The position guarantees 36 hours per week with a shift of Day 12x3.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg RN experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
EPIC EMR experience required
Ability to float to multiple Med-Surg units as needed
No time-off requests (RTO) during the assignment

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care on the medical-surgical unit, including assessments, monitoring, IV therapy, and medication administration within scope.
Develop and update nursing care plans; perform clinical documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record; communicate with the multidisciplinary team.
Monitor patient status, identify changes in condition, and respond promptly; escalate to physicians as needed.
Float to all med-surg areas as assigned; ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital protocols.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning; collaborate on transitions of care.
