About The Position

This is a temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse Manager in an acute-care environment. The role involves providing unit-based leadership, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, and ensuring patients receive cost-effective, professional care that results in positive outcomes, high patient satisfaction, and the highest level of patient safety. The position requires assessing the quality of patient experience and implementing improvements.

Requirements

Active RN license in California (or equivalent eligibility) to practice in the assignment locale.
Availability for 12-hour day shifts, three days per week (36 hours per week).
Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians and ancillary staff.
Ability to maintain high standards of patient safety while delivering evidence-based care in a fast-paced setting.

Nice To Haves

Previous unit-based leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide unit-based leadership, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff.
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel using professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
Ensure that patients on the unit receive cost-effective, professional care that results in positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction while maintaining the highest level of patient safety.
Assess quality of patient experience and take steps to drive improvement across the unit.
