About The Position
This is a travel assignment for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D) in Templeton, CA. The assignment begins on August 31, 2026, and lasts for 18 weeks. The role involves working nights on 12-hour shifts (3x12) in an inpatient hospital environment. The position offers guaranteed hours for the 18 contract weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,757–$2,872.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior L&D/obstetric nursing experience preferred; acute obstetric care experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work nights and manage high-acuity obstetric care
- Strong communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status; respond to obstetric emergencies; administer medications within scope.
- Circulate for cesarean sections and assist with surgical deliveries as needed.
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and emotional support.
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel consistent with scope of practice; collaborate with the care team.
- Maintain documentation, safety standards, and infection control practices.
