About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Laramie, Wyoming. The assignment is for 8 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a rotating shift. The role is based in a hospital setting.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current, valid Registered Nurse license from the State of Wyoming; in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; maintain credentials throughout employment.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification; maintain credential throughout employment if performing circulating or recovery duties for cesarean deliveries, as determined by the Department Director.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; maintain credential throughout employment if caring for pediatric patients.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; maintain credential while employed on units serving neonates.
NRP certification must be maintained for assignments involving neonatal care.
Special care nursery and NICU experience required.
Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating shifts; valid for travel assignment.

Previous hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the scope of practice.
Transcribe, utilize, and implement physician orders; follow established protocols and document in the medical record.
Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to changes, and initiate appropriate interventions; operate and interpret electronic fetal monitoring as required.
Educate patients and families about labor and delivery, pain management, newborn care, breastfeeding, and discharge planning.
Collaborate with the healthcare team and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff; ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Care for neonates on the Special Care Nursery/NICU as assigned, including routine assessments, medication administration per protocol, and family support.
Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality; stay compliant with professional and unit-specific standards.
