About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Milan, New Mexico. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026. The role involves practicing in a hospital setting under the supervision of the clinical team. The position offers a weekly pay range of $2,544.00 to $2,720.00 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The shift is 3x12 rotating nights, which may include holidays and weekends. The hiring organization is Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Requirements

  • Current New Mexico RN license or active multi-state (eNLC) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent)
  • ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required for LDRP
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
  • LDRP-specific education and clinical experience; ability to float to other departments with orientation
  • Commitment to practicing under the New Mexico Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, procedures, and current evidence-based guidelines
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • SAFER NM Technician certification preferred
  • OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments; develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Deliver direct patient care across the lifespan; promote optimal health outcomes
  • Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families; support health literacy and transitions of care
  • Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record; collaborate with physicians and the care team
  • Support perinatal care within the LDRP scope: labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn assessment; maintain sterile technique and sterile field maintenance
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives; float to other departments as needed with orientation
