About The Position
This travel assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The role is in a Level 2 Labor and Delivery unit caring for patients at 32 weeks and above, with on-site support and a collaborative care model alongside physicians and midwives. The assignment is for 13 weeks and requires 36 guaranteed hours per week, with shifts being nights (7pm 7am) on a 3x12 schedule. The position is located in Chillicothe, Ohio, in a hospital setting.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the assignment location
- Ability to work the night shift in a hospital labor and delivery setting
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of labor and delivery experience preferred
- previous travel experience preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in a Level 2 Labor and Delivery unit for laboring patients 32 weeks and above
- Triage patients, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond to obstetric complications
- Circulate cesarean sections and manage labor and delivery in collaboration with physicians and midwives
- Support postpartum recovery and newborn stabilization following vaginal or cesarean deliveries
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and coordinate with the care team for patient education and discharge planning
