About The Position

This is a travel temporary assignment for an ER Registered Nurse in Springfield, MA. The role is in a hospital-like setting focused on urgent and emergent care, specifically within a large, high-acuity emergency care unit with 118 beds. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a potential for extension, and begins on 09/07/2026. The position offers guaranteed hours and involves night shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED or ICU experience, post-orientation.
• Advanced Certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment and manage complex and unstable patients.
• Willingness to work 3x12 night shifts; flexibility to adapt to the unit’s pace and patient needs.
• On onboarding, provide documentation including an agency Massachusetts staffing license and upload of professional liability insurance to MYCOI.
• Location restriction: must be outside a 90-mile radius from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency/acute care setting for mixed acuity patients, including stabilization and ongoing monitoring.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret findings, and respond rapidly to clinical changes; initiate appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications, assist with procedures, manage airway/ventilation, and support resuscitation efforts as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for behavioral health and boarding patients, ensuring patient safety and timely disposition.
• Maintain clear, accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members about care plans and next steps.
